Angkas signed an agreement with the SSS on August 5 giving 30,000 partner bikers across Metro Manila, Metro Cebu, and Cagayan de Oro access to social security as self-employed members — covering sickness, maternity, disability, retirement, funeral, and death benefits, plus calamity loans and Employees' Compensation coverage for work-related incidents. Contributions can be collected by Angkas itself, starting as low as ₱570 a month.
